Quote: " "What (Datuk) Victor had said is true. Now decades down the road, more beach land has been lost, those seawall structures have since collapsed and more Aru (Casuarina) trees have vanished," Vanhouten noted.
At the briefing for the Federation of Chinese Associations Sabah (FCAS) and Kota Kinabalu City Hall (DBKK), Paul had said there was an urgent need to save Tanjung Aru Beach which has already lost 60 to 70 metres to erosion over the past 50 years.
"So one of the first tasks will be pushing back the sea to regain the land that was lost to erosion over the years," he had said. "
Who want to believe such flimsy excuses to grab the prime land? How much Victor owe the public in Perdana Park? He should know why erosion is taking place like in Tanjung Aru. It is due to other seashore reclaimed along the west coast of Sabah especially Kota Kinabalu City, STAR, Sutera, Sembulan, and the equilibrium needs to be adjusted naturally hence the erosion of Tanjung Aru. Victor may be "blind" and can fool others but not all the people to justify the land grab. Victor, what about the land in Metro Town?
